"Part theatre, part musical gig, part spoken-word poetry and part documentary...whatever it is, it is brilliant." (Toronto Star)
SPIN uses the metaphor, physics, and political conscience of the bicycle to tell stories, construct songs and soundscapes and engage you in thinking about change.
Inspired by the story of Annie Londonderry, the first woman to circumnavigate the globe on a bicycle, SPIN travels through time, touching on women's emancipation and consumer culture while pedalling the bicycle of social change.
Using a bicycle as an instrument, Evalyn Parry and her band create a blend of songs, monologues and theatre which offer an enchanting, engaging and unique adventure in entertainment and activism.
