“This guy is so talented” has “a great voice” and is “probably one of the best blues musicians I've ever worked with.” (Ray Charles)
Zucchero Fornaciari is a deeply soulful Italian blues and pop performer who has sold over 50 million records worldwide and consistently sells out European stadiums. In Italian, zucchero means sugar and Fornaciari has a sweet voice that caresses his touching and meaningful lyrics, while he also has amazing blues guitar chops. Having performed and collaborated with Sting, Bono, Luciano Pavarotti, Eric Clapton, Elton John, B.B. King, Sheryl Crow and Miles Davis, as well as writing the song, “Miserere,” that brought Andrea Bocelli to international attention, Zucchero is an amazing international musician who will take your breath away with the first note and have you clapping for more long after he’s left the stage.
His current release, Chocabeck, is being hailed as one of the best, if not the best album ever written by Zucchero. Recorded across the Globe including stints in Los Angeles, Bolgheri, and London, the album features production from some of music’s best known alumni including Don Was (The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and Roy Orbison) and Brendan O’Brien (AC/DC, Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam). Featuring some of Zucchero’s most poignant and touching lyrics he also managed to enlist the assistance of his good friends Bono (who the lyrics for the track ‘Someone Else’s Tears’ ((Il Suono Della Domenica)) and Brian Wilson (who recorded backing vocals for the title track). With this new record Zucchero opens up a new chapter in his illustrious and coveted career.
“I found the intimacy of the venue enhanced the energy of the night. Zucchero was amazing, and I left at the end of the show feeling truly energized. The evening would have been a bargain at twice the price.” - David Black (2007/2008 Season)
"Zucchero was the most entertaining concert I have ever been to. The setting was so intimate. My friends and I truly enjoyed it. He gave a great performance. I would definitely go again.” - CFTA Patron Nancy Alunni (2007/2008 Season)
