Alvin Ailey was one of the most influential dancers and choreographers of the 20th century. Ailey II continues the revolutionary tradition Ailey developed by performing pieces that mix modern and African-American dance with ballet. Ailey's vision is kept burning by artistic director Sylvia Waters and this troupe of remarkable dancers known for their precision, versatility, and dynamically poetic movements. Ailey's work has been featured on So You Think You Can Dance and The Ellend DeGeneres Show.
