It wouldn't be Christmas without a performance by Centre for the Arts' favourite tenor.
Celebrate the season with this beloved Canadian tenor and special guests. Enjoy a mix of your favourite John McDermott songs, Christmas carols and songs dedicated to Canadian Veterans.
John launched his current nationwide tour "Musical Tribute to Our Veterans" at the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto on Halloween. Along with the Christmas carols, this show will salute Veterans and those who continue to serve, their sacrifices, dedication and love of country.
John's new CD, entitled Journeys, his most personal recording to date will be sold only during this cross country tour. This moving album has songs such as "The Dreamer" and "The Gift of Years" written by renowned songwriter Eric Bogle and the emotional "Bringing Buddy Home" which has been played on US and Canadian radio in tribute to the fallen.
All sales of the album throughout the tour will go to Canada Company, a federally registered apolitical charity that is an advocate for Canadians who serve in the Forces and their families, ensuring that they receive support, recognition and care. Two Canadian Veterans will also be here to share their stories. It is all about Canadians supporting Canadians.
