"Canadians can walk into an art gallery and easily
see paintings created by the GROUP OF SEVEN;
they can wander into a bookstore or library to read
a number of books by MARGARET ATWOOD;
they can hear music played by GLENN GOULD...
But to see a contemporary Canadian dance work
that is ten years or older is a unique and rare event.
JAMES KUDELKA performances, like the one presented by Coleman Lemieux & Compagnie, are essential because they keep Kudelka’s work alive –
allowing us, and future generations, to revisit three Canadian masterworks." (Amy Bowring, Dance Collection Danse)

PULSE Niagara - Thursday, January 21/10.
This performance is made possible in part by a grant from the Ontario Arts Council's ONTARIO DANCES program. The purpose of this initiative is to increase dance performances in Ontario communities by professional Ontario dance companies which will further help to generate interest and engagement in dance by local audiences. As a leader in the presentation of dance in Ontario, we are pleased to have been chosen again to be involved with this unique program.

"A band of ceaseless charisma, boundless energy, impeccable musicianship and more than a little touch of both the naughty and erotic." (The Washington Post)
This unique operatic ensemble from Portland weave elements of Kurt Weill, Duke Ellington and Edith Piaf with absurdist theatrics and an Old World mood in THIRTEEN languages!
Time-travel to a riverboat in 1920s Paris with a glass of absinthe in one hand and a long cigarette holder in the other. Why not?
